Applications are sought for Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor of Antibacterial Resistance within the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences. Research [and associated teaching] in the area of antibiotic resistance is a strategic priority of the UCD Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and will build on a recent Ad Astra fellowship in S. Aureus pathobiology and current recruitment for an Assistant professorship in clinical microbiology [shortlisting in process]. The Ad Astra fellowship will cover address areas including, but not limited to fundamental mechanisms underpinning antibiotic and resistance to other antimicrobials and the development of new pharmacologic approaches to the treatment of infectious diseases which leverage endogenous antimicrobial agents including lipids and peptides. This appointment will broaden and strengthen existing research in this area of high strategic importance. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
