As a Manufacturing Graduate Engineer, you will be directly involved in data collection and analysis, cell design and improvements, process optimization using lean and Six Sigma techniques. Come for a job, stay for a career A Day in The Life Of: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, manufacturing standards, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. Key Skills & Experience Minimum of a Level 7 degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering qualification and graduated within the last 2 years. A dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking. Builds and maintains positive relationships; shows respect for others. Distinct Advantage: Knowledge of Problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC. Training/Experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience or knowledge of capacity modelling, simulation, line balancing, and time studies. Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD (or similar 2D CAD). Strong People skills using a coaching/mentoring approach. Nice to have: Certification in Lean or Six Sigma. Understanding of and appetite for financial analysis. Prior knowledge/experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of process mapping/value stream mapping.
