This leading DMC based in Dublin is currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to ensure the delivery of a top class and professional service to their worldwide client base. Reporting to the Director of Operations, key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Preparation and presentation of client proposals for Business Meetings, Incentives and Events
  • Development of the costing models for confirmed programmes, securing supplier services for the programme and the negotiation of rates for those services as required
  • Lead client site inspection trips and represent company where appropriate on company led familiarisation visits
  • Operating confirmed programmes including communicating with the overseas client and product suppliers – this will also include on site work during the operation of client programmes
  • Any agreed sales and marketing activities, either in Ireland or in the overseas market place. This could take the form of either desk-based activities or direct agent/client sales trips
  • Full utilisation of the Tourplan system to generate all client quotations and subsequent follow up, ensuring that the confirmed proposal is accurately reflected in Tourplan
  • General office duties including booking confirmations via fax and email, filing, processing reservations including the preparation of client vouchers and invoices through the company’s reservations system (Tourplan) and the distribution of client voucher packs
  • Supervision and support of any staff/trainees assigned to the Incentive Department
  • Periodic out of hours emergency phone coverage
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department within the Group)

The ideal candidate will hold a third level qualification in Tourism, Business or Languages and will have relevant experience within the industry. Must demonstrate excellent knowledge of Ireland as an Incentive destination.Further attributes include:

  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to meet agreed time lines / deadlines
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for client care plus a commitment to delivering services to the highest level
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills who demonstrates pro-activeness and initiative
  • Willingness to travel – both in Ireland and also to the overseas markets
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is essential
