Job Title: Operations Manager - Home Deliveries Location: Southwest Dublin Reports to: Head of Operations Salary: €80,000 per annum + up to 10% target bonus per year Working Hours: Core working days Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as required. Job Purpose: As the Operations Manager - Home Deliveries, you will oversee the entire Home Delivery function, ensuring the efficient and seamless execution of home deliveries across designated stores in the Republic of Ireland (ROI). You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the driver team, fleet, and delivery schedules, guaranteeing the highest levels of customer service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:Operational Management Lead the planning and scheduling of home deliveries across multiple stores within ROI. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as: Driver and vehicle utilisation Scanner/tote management process Customer satisfaction and feedback Manage and optimise delivery scheduling, ensuring maximum vehicle and driver efficiency aligned with store operational needs. Team Leadership & Development Lead and motivate the operations, maintenance, and customer service teams. Conduct regular coaching, guidance, and performance management of the team. Facilitate weekly toolbox talks and ensure consistent training and upskilling. Respond to customer service inquiries, providing a solution-oriented approach. Budget and Resource Management Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to prepare and manage the operational budget. Oversee payroll, annual leave schedules, and driver reward schemes. Ensure forward planning for staff requirements, including seasonal adjustments and new store launches. Fleet and Compliance Management Oversee the Home Delivery Fleet, ensuring high standards of vehicle safety and maintenance. Minimise downtime by managing fleet maintenance and replacement schedules. Ensure all regulatory and compliance matters are addressed, including HSA standards. Investigate and manage RTAs and insurance claims, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken. Cross-Departmental Liaison Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow and coordination. Ensure driver training is up-to-date and maintain communication with all relevant teams regarding fleet and operational matters. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in operations management, particularly in logistics, home delivery, or fleet management. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and develop diverse teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex operational challenges. High level of attention to detail and ability to monitor and interpret operational data effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers. Ability to maintain a customer-centric approach while driving operational efficiency. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fleet safety, driver management, and logistics. Personality & Attributes: A highly driven, dynamic, and results-oriented individual with a strong personality. Adaptable and flexible, able to lead the team effectively across a 7-day operational schedule. Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about continuous improvement and driving efficiencies across all operations.
