CSA Supervisor

CSA Supervisor required for a Leading Biotech facility in Cork, to align with Engineering to establish the Engineering Requirements for the Civils, Structural, Architectural and Architectural fit out of project facilities. Initially a 12 month contract. Please contact Claire ROLE: Perform evaluations and design guidance on CSA areas including but not limited to Civils, Structural Requirements, Building Envelopes, Cleanroom installations, Warehouse installations, Office, and Laboratory Fit Outs, etc. Ensure there is alignment between stakeholders and functional unit strategies, policies, and standards. Ensure the business needs, functional unit strategies, policies, standards, and product needs are translated into performance criteria. Review engineering and design work by contractors and the submittals from suppliers and contractors against industry proven engineering requirements and client requirements. Ensures engineering is effectively engaged at the appropriate level in reviewing the project designs for the projects assigned. Ensure connection to key external policy makers, practitioners, and influencers in mechanical and electrical disciplines are made and kept up to date. Communicate the impact of key external marketplace changes as they occur. Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for projects. Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational qualification. Identify areas that can be redesigned or replanned to avoid delays and speed up progress. Provide input into construction plans on and offsite to ensure safe construction methodologies that accelerate overall project. Provide input and feedback to develop integrated schedule across multiple work fronts. Identify key areas of concern and risk for project and develop mitigation plans to remove or lessen the impact. Role Responsibilities The CSA is responsible for ensuring the safe and economically effective delivery of compliant manufacturing, research, and administrative facilities for the client. Must exhibit a good sense of judgment in decision making, without the need for management approval while at the same time keeping management informed and engaged on critical issues. The CSA will provide technical oversight of the translation by contractors of those requirements into design solutions and the delivery of functional and qualified assets based on the designs. In depth knowledge of, and experience in, the application of industry accepted project management experience. Demonstrated value for a disciplined, structured approach to project management and the ability to create and communicate progress via a metric based program. Influence on and understanding of the external environment in order to understand comparative value and possible risks. Understanding & managing of project systems / area sequencing from Design, Construction, Commissioning and System Qualification Role Requirements: BSc Engineering 5 years working in Biotech engineering, construction, handover, and operations environment. 5 year's experience as a CSA on a site or capital project Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Knowledge of GMP'S, regulatory requirements, clean build protocols. Good written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff.
