Our client in Wexford is seeking a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced team of professionals. This position is truly mixed with 50% Small animal and 50% large animal caseloads.

There is a team of 4 Veterinarians, 2 Veterinary Nurses and 5 Support Staff. We each have our own vital role to play in keeping the hospital running like a well-oiled machine, so it is important to us that any new team members also appreciate and respect the whole team. The staff are happy to share their expertise and knowledge with the whole team.

About the role

  • This is a full-time, permanent position for a mixed Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Flexible part-time options are available for the right candidate for this role.
  • Your main duties would include Large Animal farm visits, TB testing, Small Animal consultations and surgeries.
  • The full-time Rota would include 40hrs/5 days per week.
  • On-call is shared equally amongst the team with 1 weeknight plus 1 weekend in 6 on call.
  • Salary is dependent on experience and subject to pro-rata.

Requirements

Any candidates must be registered with the VCI (Veterinary Council of Ireland) and eligible to work in Ireland.

Experience would be great but not required. They are prepared and encouraged to support any new graduate applying for their first role or any level of experienced Veterinarian starting off in these areas.
