Grade VII Accountant CREGG are seeking applicants for this accounting position to join our client in the public sector based in Kilkenny initially on a 9-month contract. The Accountant will join a team of 6 and assist the current Grade VII with their duties as well as managing the wider team on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities: Annual Financial Statements Process (Dec Year End) working on information requests all year round, with an increase in activity from November, through until March of the following year Month End Process Journal preparation Balance Sheet Ledger balances reconciliations Patient Income reconciliation Payroll file generation and upload to Ledger Bank Reconciliation Other Analytical work (e.g. Aged Analysis/Reconciliation of various Reports to GL) Cash-flow requirements (weekly requirements sent a week in advance) to the companys corporate treasury Manage relationships with Cash in Transit provider/ Merchant Terminal provider Authoriser of Bank payments Preparation/Updating SOPs Qualifications and Skills: The candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Proficiency in working with pivot tables, v lookup and general preparation of formulised spreadsheets) Qualified Account/Part Qualified with 2+ years of experience. (Preferably Qualified). The successful candidate should be comfortable working on their own initiative, and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills with Internal and External stakeholders Proactive in finding methods of continuous improvements for the department.
