Role Summary This role will initially provide cover for the Director of Operations for the duration of her maternity leave. On return from leave, the Operations Manager will report to the Director of Operations and serve as a member of the Operations Division Management Team. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership across all client service business functions, and contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and within the Management Team to initiate, drive and execute business improvement activities and projects in the areas of: Customer Experience Quality Efficiency People development. Your day to day Model and reinforce a dedication to our mission, vision, and values. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the companys strategic objectives. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of operations teams through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions.Works closely with other teams and leaders to share resources, streamline processes, and impact on business objectives. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of all client services in line with service level targets, customer experience standards and operations KPIs. Responsible for capacity and resource planning, organising and monitoring all activities and processes across Umbrella, CX, PLC, FLC, Personal Tax and new functions as required. Responsibility for capacity and resource planning of the offshore Indian team and for overseeing quality and efficiency improvements. Prepare weekly and monthly operations KPI reports Provide insightful reporting and analysis to senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights. Drive initiatives in the management team and organisationally that contribute to long term operational excellence and customer experience improvements. Help each team member solve challenges, identify priorities, and remove obstacles to their efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement to ensure that all responsibilities are managed in an accurate, comprehensive, timely and controlled manner. Communicate company-wide priorities and help team members set and track goals that link up to these priorities. Develop Operations OKRs that support organisational planning and strategy and Ensure that all operations projects and activities are conceived of and executed in the context of overall strategic business objectives priorities Manage probation, performance improvement plans and career development for your team members. Diagnose gaps between goals and results (considering the impacts of the individual, team, and company on individual performance) and help create a plan to close those gaps. Clarify the results and timeline required, resources available, and consequences of missing goals. Your skills and competencies Previous operations management experience (5+years) with strong leadership qualities and the ability to role model company competencies and values Ability to think with a strategic mindset and contribute to the strategic development of operations within the overall business objectives Ability to create and execute plans to support company strategies Great communication, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and development activities to increase skills and knowledge Self-motivation with drive, enthusiasm and commitment Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment will be essential Skills: Operations management Manage a team Holiday Planning KPI management Benefits: Group Life Assurance Pension Fund EAP Remote first working
