Open plan team environment This is a new role due to GROWTH Job Duties: Lead and manage a team of 6 credit controllers, setting a strong example in professionalism, work ethic, and customer service. Oversee the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring timely collections and the management of overdue accounts. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients and third-party debt collection agencies, to ensure prompt resolution of any issues. Conduct weekly debt management meetings with company owners to report on the status of collections, discuss outstanding issues, and establish action plans. Monitor and analyse credit control KPIs, targets, and metrics, ensuring the team meets or exceeds collection goals and reducing outstanding debt. Implement strategies for improving cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and increasing the efficiency of the credit control process. Resolve escalated customer issues and complex queries, acting as a point of contact for team members and external stakeholders. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all aspects of credit control. Support the professional development of the credit control team, providing training, feedback, and coaching as needed. Provide accurate and timely reports on accounts receivable, ageing analysis, and collections performance to senior management. Key Requirements: Proven experience in credit control management 3 year minimum, with a track record of successfully leading a team. Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team by example. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations and resolve issues efficiently. Experience managing external relationships, including dealing with clients and third-party agencies. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines and targets are consistently met. Strong understanding of KPIs, targets, and metrics in a credit control environment. High level of professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Experience with relevant credit control software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support the team to achieve goals.
