Operations Support

The Automation team are responsible for finding, assessing and developing automation solutions within Lilly’s business service towers, and consulting with teams on the most effective approach to leveraging technology to automate and enhance their processes and procedures. Solutions can range from RPA to cognitive intelligence or data analytics.

As the Operations Lead for our RPA team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automation initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues; work with third parties to resolve; manage releases and upgrades to environments and code and to communicate with business stakeholders. You will also support regular audit and access reviews.

The role will be highly visible regionally and globally and will require the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and from a mixture of technical and non-technical backgrounds. A background in technical development or testing is useful but not essential for the role.

The individual will be a proactive and driven self-starter, with the appetite and passion to help drive change across Lilly and influence the way in which our key stakeholders think about their own processes. They will play a key role in ensuring that automation becomes a core competency at Lilly.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Manage relationships with business partners in relation to their automation assets with respect to performance, change and issues
  • Manage a third-party support team in timely resolution of environmental and technical issues
  • Ensure adherence to Quality standards within GCOA and with Third Party
  • Problem-solve issues that arise in day-to-day running of automation processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required
  • Monitor automated processes to ensure successful execution as per defined schedules and monitor Termination / Failure of Bots and take corrective actions and provide RCA to the business within the document service levels
  • Setup of Infrastructure for the bots, Installation of non-standard software on VDI’s
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in Power BI dashboards and the scripts that feed these solutions
  • Coordinate with respective business application teams to ensure that delivered solutions are working to expectation and manage relationships with multiple business teams and responding to their queries within the SLA’s
  • Communicate and identify any potential risks and issues to Automation Lead accordingly and provide actionable inputs to mitigate
  • Project management of migration and other automation activities with a responsibility for tracking timeline, budget, status and escalation

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in management information systems or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years experience in either a finance, supply chain, technology consulting or a business analyst type role
  • A strong grasp of technologies such as Automation Anywhere and Python as well as the Office 365 technology stack e.g Power App, Power Automate and Power BI etc. is useful though not essential
  • The ability to diagnose problems and identify the steps to resolution
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to operate in a dynamic environment; managing multiple deliverables, prioritising and ensure timely completion of projects
