ICT Project Officer - Southeast Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a suitably skilled ICT Project Officer to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially with possible extensions thereafter. This role will be remote working but the successful candidate must be available to attend client sites when required. Client sites will be based in Kilkenny/Wexford/Waterford. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €30.17 per hour based on an annualised salary of €55,093. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Access to appropriate transport is essential to fulfil the duties of the role as the post may involve travel. Duties & Responsibilities: Analyse applications and system performance. Prioritise, investigate, resolve and determine root cause of reported issues. Assist in the process of determining and specifying user requirements; for application solutions, and for required management and operational reports. Contribute to the planning of project tasks and activities. Research, organise and complete tasks and activities within defined timeframes. Liaise between user groups and technical specialists. Liaise with external and internal clients. Analyse clients' existing systems and business models. Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems. Identify options for potential solutions and assess same for technical and business suitability. Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems. Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. Ensure deadlines met. Support users on change control and system updates. Support management in the delivery of service level agreements from outside suppliers and vendors as required Prepare feasibility reports on new systems including cost/benefits analysis. Support and train other staff in the team. Co-ordinate, monitor and review the work of Vendors Manage the performance of vendors, dealing with underperformance in a timely and constructive manner Skills & Knowledge: Professional Knowledge & Experience Understanding of relational databases, e.g. Microsoft SQL server. Demonstrates knowledge and experience of ICT services and/or projects. Displays knowledge of vendor management. Demonstrates experience of supporting local and/or national applications. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the health service and the issues in implementing ICT enabled change. Demonstrates report writing skills. Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in an ICT applications support environment Must demonstrate experience of having an excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite and report writing. Knowledge and understanding of ITIL or PRINCE2 Communications & Interpersonal Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholders The ability to present information clearly, concisely and confidently when speaking and in writing. The ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders to assist in performing the role Planning & Managing Resources Strong planning and organising skills including, structuring and organising own work load and that of others effectively The ability to use computer technology effectively for the management and delivery of results The ability to take responsibility and be accountable for the delivery of agreed objectives A logical and pragmatic approach to workload, delivering the best possible results with the resources available Evaluating Information, Problem Solving & Decision Making The ability to gather and analyse information from relevant sources, weighing up a range of critical factors to develop solutions and make decisions as appropriate Ability to make sound decisions with a well-reasoned rationale and to stand by these A capacity to develop new proposals and put forward solutions to address problems Team Working The ability to lead the team by example, coaching and supporting individuals as required.
