Utilising the universities program development process benchmarking of existing professional doctor programs would take place in conjunction with stakeholder mapping. This would be followed by a period of intense stakeholder engagement and analysis of stakeholder input to inform the academic development of the program. The incumbent in the role will address key factors around program feasibility capacity and capability, design program structures, learning and research outputs and the academic delivery structure of the program. Due to the fundamental interdisciplinary nature of design the incumbent will collaborate across the university to design a program that most effectively leverages the knowledge and experience in the university. Working with the head department this post will bring the program through from design into implementation. This 12-month specified purpose role has been created to buy out the teaching load of a lecturer grade academic for the duration to allow full dedication to the programme development activity.
