Your new company Our client is a facilities management company. They are currently managing several pharma/medical devices contracts within the Connacht / Northwest region. As a result of continued growth, they are now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in the Donegal / Sligo region. You will ideally have worked in facilities and have an electrical background. Your new role You will assist and take ownership in providing facilities / planned maintenance activities of the highest quality, enabling the business to carry out their business activities in a safe comfortable, productive & cost-effective environment. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and utilities, in compliance with the companies and client's EHS and Quality standards. Will be required to work 7pm - 7am shift. Main Duties and Responsibilities To carry out a range of duties to cover electrical, mechanical and some general building fabric maintenance To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control as per the Plant CMMS / CAFM system Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues, to maximise equipment uptime Servicing of electrical, mechanical and non-technical equipment Liaise with the service desk / supervisor and respond to all non-technical and technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement To carry out fault-finding and repairs to broken down equipment, contact and coordinate service engineers where external assistance is required Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems Assist with all queries regarding quotations and purchasing when requested Maintain and maximise use of client CMMS / CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system and ensure all works are completed and closed within the agreed timeframe Always ensure compliance with Health and Safety and legislative requirements Ensure that EH & S procedures are always adhered to. Contribute to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement Always maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition Ability to source materials and generate quotations as required Previous relevant experience A full clean driving licence is required. Experienced in the following areasPPM on all electrical equipment such as Boilers, Emergency lighting, Data & Telecoms equipment, Motive power, General lighting, Thermal Imaging (preference but not essential), Fixed electrical testing, PAT testing, Water & booster pumps, HVAC equipment, i.e. pumps, chillers. A/C split units etc. (electrical only), Generator maintenance, UPS maintenance, LV, MV & HV experience, BMS experience, Automation & controls experience, Qualifications and Experience Electrical Senior Trades or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline Experience in the following areas - Utilities / Facilities Formal training / certification in any of the above would be advantageous. Relevant experience required Basic computer knowledge essential Proven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
