PE Global is currently recruiting for a Civil Structural Engineer on behalf of our public sector client. This is an initial 12-month contract hybrid role in Dublin. The Civil Structural Engineer position will be based in the Civil, Environmental & Renewables Engineering Group within Engineering and Major Projects. The includes the delivery of civil engineering services from feasibility through construction stage of maintenance projects for hydro and thermal stations and their associated infrastructure. The role includes the inspection of these assets, the audit of their maintenance in line with agreed procedures, preparation of tender packages for civil maintenance projects and the provision of structural advice through structural calculations/ drawings. KeyResponsibilities Keyresponsibilitiesinclude,butarenotlimitedtothefollowing: Promoteandleadthesafetymanagementcultureacrossallactivitiesbytakingownershipanddemonstratingvisiblecommitmenttosafety. EnsuringthatQualityProceduresareimplementedonallprojects. Providingcivil,structuralengineeringtechnicalexpertiseandadvicefromprojectconceptthroughtodetaileddesignandconstruction. Leading,managingandcoordinatingallrelevantcivil/structuralengineeringandassociateddisciplinesactivitiesrequiredtosuccessfullydeliverprojectstoapprovedscope,budgetandprogrammeincludingthemanagementofcivilworkscontracts. Managingengineeringworkspackage(s)relatingtothedeliveryofelectricityinfrastructureprojectsasrequiredincludingscoping,procuring,technicalassessmentandcontractmanagement Buildingandmanagingrelationshipswithinternalandexternalstakeholders. Knowledge,SkillsandExperience Essential Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhave:- Developedacompetentlevelofexpertiseinthedeliveryofcivil/structuralengineeringpackages. Astrongcommercialandprojectmanagementcapability. Demonstratedastrongcapabilityinassessingcommunicatingandmanagingprojectcriticaltechnicalrisks. Strongcommunicationandreportwritingskills. Minimum7yearsrelevantexperience. Fulldrivinglicenceandaccesstoacar. Desirable Demonstratedarecordofsuccessfullymanagingsignificantprojectsoraspectsofsignificantprojectsofamulti-disciplinarynature. Thedemonstratedabilitytomeetdeadlinesandmanagemultiplepriorities. Astrongabilitytoidentifyprojectworkrequirementsandtoinitiatenecessaryworkwithlimitedoversight.
