Civil Engineer

Opportunity for a Civil Engineer based in Carlow, Waterford and the surrounding areas, to assist with the forward planning of works for survey crews working on behalf of Irish Water. Applications from Civil Works Foreman will also be welcome. Liaison with the Project Manager to plan and coordinate manhole and survey surveys, visit site and carry out a review of survey packs, initial walk of the survey route, interface with the public and access within non public areas, liaison with traffic management sub contractor, reporting on site progress and assisting Project Manager with overall delivery on survey of Drainage Area Plans. Successful candidates will be placed on work close to home where possible; however some travel will be required. To be considered as an Civil Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate some previous experience in Traffic Management or Streetworks, Supervision of similar utilities, sewer rehabilitation, drainage upgrades, surveys / investigations, environmental works etc. As Civil Engineer your experience should include:

• A qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
• Keeping works records and photographs, reporting using Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
• Knowledge and experience of Traffic Management / Streetworks, Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
• Knowledge of CCTV investigations and sewer rehabilitation works would be desirable.
• A current Driving Licence, a company vehicle will be provided.
• A current and valid SafePass card and Streetworks will be provided
