Production Shift Manager Reporting to : Factory Manager Location: Station Road, Tipperary Town Business Sector: Ingredients - Manufacturing Overview: To manage and coordinate the shift activities of the dairy processing plant. To optimise the performance of the facility and ensure products are manufactured and dispatched to the highest standards. Responsibilities: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to: Ensuring the manufacture of products to the highest standards in the safest, most cost effective and efficient manner. Fully utilising and harnessing the Production and Maintenance Teams capability through effective leadership, processes that are consistently applied and accurately measured against the business objectives. Identifying and implementing process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders Ensuring strict adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Ensuring consistent adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures. Maintaining and driving quality standards in process, people, and product. Capacity planning for existing and future products Identifying and implementing Lean initiatives Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement Reporting and communicating effectively with the senior management team on an ongoing basis. Assisting with the development of Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications/Experience and Competencies Required: Experience in a production role in a Food processing environment a distinct advantage. Food/ Science or Process/Engineering/Production Management qualification or equivalent a distinct advantage . Key Skills/Attributes Required: A proven track record of operational success Strong people skills, project management, problem solving, leadership and communication skills. The ability to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of all activities. IT and report writing skills High standards of systems compliance.
