The Role: The Education Training Officer will report directly to the Training Manager and will be a part of the team responsible for the day-to-day development, coordination and delivery of AsIAm Training and Accreditation programmes, including but not limited to the Autism Friendly Schools Programme and the Primary School Programme. The Education Training Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key educational stakeholders, developing a high quality standard of training materials and resources, and supporting the broader Training Team in its implementation of AsIAms Strategic Plan. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a challenge, has excellent interpersonal skills, and is motivatedto be part of the development and delivery of AsIAms training programmes nationwide. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the country and therefore will require a clean drivers license. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and lead on the organisations Autism-Friendly Schools Programme recruiting participating schools, liaising with participants throughout the year, developing the CPD programme and associated resources and implementing the programme as a whole Support and develop the AsIAm Primary School programme working collaboratively with the broader Training Team Provide high quality online/in-person training tailored to suit the needs of individual educational settings Support the development and implementation of AsIAm's cross sectoral training and accreditation programmes Support the further development and implementation of AsIAms Training offering for educators Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and funders Coordinate and manage your work plan/schedule to ensure all training is undertaken to the highest standard and in a timely manner Provide regular updates to the Training Manager / Head of Training & Accreditation/CEO as required Participate in the overall team to ensure collaborative teamwork and support other team members as required Key Requirements: Essential: A passion for social justice and empowerment An extensive knowledge of autism and neurodiversity in the context of education A relevant professional qualification in education Minimum of 2 years relevant experience including first hand experience in supporting Autistic people in educational settings Excellent training and facilitating skills both in person and online Proven track record in the creation, delivery and evaluation of training modules Ability to operate independently Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, team building and networking abilities Proven track record in project management Ability to interact and connect with trainees/stakeholders in a wide variety of settings and at various organisational levels Strong IT skills, including experience of PowerPoint and Canva Full driving license Desirable Knowledge of disability legislation and social policy Analytical and report writing skills Contract Duration This is a permanent role. Salary & Benefits Salary will align with Grade IV as set out in the HSE Consolidated Pay Grades Location / Working Hours The role is based in AsIAms head office in Blackrock, Dublin and is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a requirement for travel for training. The role holder is required to have a degree of flexibility with regard to working hours with the expectation of evening and weekend work due to the nature of the events. Your next step..
