Position Overview: As an MRI Radiographer you will be responsible for ensuring patients receive the best standard of care while generating high quality images to support their healthcare pathway. You will deliver an effective and professional service, working alongside your colleagues in a dynamic and fast paced environment Responsibilities will include: Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Supervise and mentor junior radiographers and students, providing guidance and support. Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy and collaborate with radiologists for interpretation. Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Develop and implement MRI protocols and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies. Participate in continuous professional development and training programs to stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and practices. Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives. What you'll need to succeed: Advanced knowledge of MRI technology and imaging techniques. Strong clinical and technical skills in performing and interpreting MRI scans. Proven experience supervising and mentoring junior staff. Proficient in operating MRI imaging equipment and software. Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations Strong organisational and problem solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to deal with staff and management at all levels within the organisation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Eligibility Criteria: Have the Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or have a Bachelor of Science or its equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography. Be CORU registered Have a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in Radiography. Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in MRI. Demonstrate experience of managing junior Radiographers. Have proven ability to work under pressure. Excellent Communications skills and the ability to support and contribute to the team.
