Finishing Foreman

The Client: Main Contractor Services to our clients across Ireland for over 30 years. Utilising traditional build, design & build, modular construction and project management services, we provide comprehensive building services to government agencies, private developers, major retailers and manufacturers. My Client a c.€100m T/O leading construction and design company that specialises in providing high-quality, innovative and sustainable building solutions. They have been trading 25+ years and have a number of live projects in the Dublin region. They take on Contracts for Public Works, private developements, and projects for a couple of major retailers and manufacturers across the Island and Ireland. This particular project is an 80no. unit Timber Frame and Traditional build residential project in the Wicklow area. The next project will likely be a School or Social Housing project in South Dublin/Wicklow. We're looking for someone with previous Finishing Foreman experience, a good attention to detail and, ideally having a trade (carpentry/joinery/plastering/plumbing/electrician etc). As this is an established, close-knit team, we're also looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in what they do and seeing others do well. As this position has supervisory responsibilities, we are also looking for someone has the ability to develop people and processes and who possesses excellent communication skills. Main responsibilities will include: Work closely with Site Manager/Project Manager to organise daily requirements including: labour, ordering of materials, expected daily targets. Manage and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site Directing of H&S on site to ensure highest standards are maintained Perform company compliance and administration procedures and record performance and progress of site operations Requirements: 2+ years experience in similar position (this can include Site Manager/Foreman/Finishing Foreman/Site Supervisor/Charge Hand). Third level qualification in construction management or hold trade certificates. Previous experience working on commercial/residential fit out projects. Have the ability to lead personnel, use initiative and be self-motivated. Knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards. Ability to work well under pressure and perform to specified deadlines. Full clean drivers license. What's on offer? €65k-€80k (DOE).
