Deputy Manager

Deputy Store Manager Our client, a leading and fast-growing UK retailer, is seeking to recruit a Deputy Store Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and inspiring your team to drive sales, deliver excellent customer service, and improve store performance. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong retail management experience to support the Store Manager in achieving key business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or Department Manager from a fast-paced, high-volume retailer to take the next step in their career. Responsibilities: Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring smooth operations and maximising efficiency. Lead, develop, and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Analyse sales data and key performance indicators to drive business performance. Ensure stock management, merchandising, and store standards align with company expectations. Coach and train retail colleagues, ensuring high levels of product knowledge and service. Maintain a positive, engaging, and professional working environment. Take corrective action when necessary to address performance or operational issues. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 18 months experience in a retail management role within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Strong leadership skills with a coaching management style-clear, open, and honest. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to drive sales and improve store performance. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of key retail metrics. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
