About the Role We require a project manager tolead onthedelivery of wind farms, solarfarmsand battery energy storage projects.This will primarily involve taking projects through the pre-construction and construction phases, acting as Owners Engineer.The majority ofour projectsarelocatedinIreland. Responsibilities Project Management Managerenewable energyprojects(primarily wind farms, solarfarmsand battery energy storage systems)on behalf of clients. Act as Owners Engineer/Project Manager. Manageproject budgetsand schedules, including use ofMS Project or similar industry standard software. Assess,reviewand report onprojectspendthroughout the project. Maintain project risk registers, action trackers, change logs, etc. ManageDanusproject team, typically includingcolleagues fromacrossproject management,electrical engineering, civil engineering, site engineeringand H&S safetydepartments. Carry outandmaintainastrongunderstanding oftheProject Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)orPrincipal Designer (PD) role. PrepareEmployers Requirements and othertechnical documents for inclusion in construction contracts, including: Turbine Supply Agreement (TSA) Solar EPC contract Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) contract Civil and Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) contracts Manage planning condition dischargeon behalf of clients. Support clientsin obtainingrelevant project consents,permitsand licencessuch as CRU licence, road opening licences, felling licences, etc. Liaise withdistribution and transmissionsystemoperatorsregardinggrid connection contracts and delivery on behalf of clients. Negotiate construction contractson behalf of clients, liaising with clients project team, legal and financial advisors. Administerconstruction contracts, typicallyacting asFIDIC Engineeror Employers Representative, including: Reviewingcontractors paymentapplications; Preparingcontractual letters andnotices; Assessinganddeterminingclaims; Instructingvariations;and Reviewingapplicationsfor Take Over. Manage construction meetings both on site and remotely. Manage construction interfaces between contractors and other project stakeholders. Client Advisory Work Support clients taking projects through financial close/final investment decision. Carry out and/or provide input into technical due diligence reviews and reports for project financing or project transactions. Advise clients on all aspects ofproject managementfor renewableenergyand sustainabilityprojectstaking into accountthe highest safety standards, industry best practice, and technological developments. Industry Knowledge Build andmaintainknowledge ofindustry activity,relevantlegislationandregulationsapplicable to the roleand how they apply totherenewable and sustainableenergyprojects in relevantjurisdictions. Activelyparticipatein CPD courses. Engagement with industry contractors, designers, and equipment suppliers to ensure awareness ofbestin classindustry offerings andopportunities foradditionalefficiencies for Clients or potential cost savings. At all times considerDanus reputationin the wider industryby acting with integrity and professionalism. Input positively and constructively toDanuproject teammeetings with the aim of continuously improving Danus performance and delivery to clients. Line management and mentoring of junior staff. Person Requirements Degree qualified, preferablyinengineering. Five yearsexperience in aproject managementrole, ideallywithintherenewableenergysector. Knowledge and understanding of wind farms, solar farms or battery energy storage systems would be a significant advantage. Experience in management ofconstruction contracts(ideally FIDIC contracts). Understanding of the Owners Engineer role. Full driving licence. Good atdealing withpeople. Strong communicator, confident leadingmeetingsand discussions. Strong report writing skillsandability to produce professional, presentable documents. Able to work from our Dublin office (hybrid workingpossible). Legally entitled to work in Ireland.
