Logistics Operations Manager (Packaging) / Dublin based role with some travel Our client is seeking to appoint a Logistics Operations Manager to their business and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of logistics operations within the supply chain, with a strong focus on logistics operations processes. This role ensures all is managed efficiently and cost-effectively. Coordinating between various departments to guarantee smooth logistics flows while meeting customer demands and quality standards. Salary: €85K - €95K plus benefits. The Role: Logistics Management: Oversee and manage the transportation and distribution across multiple channels, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Coordinate with internal and external teams to streamline logistics processes, reducing costs while improving delivery performance. Monitor, improve and implement key logistics KPIs such as delivery lead times, transportation costs, and inventory turnover. Strategy & Optimization: Work closely across departments to ensure packaging meets both product and logistical requirements (size, durability, and cost). Evaluate materials and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness while complying with regulatory and environmental standards. Implement best practices to optimize space utilization, minimize waste, and reduce shipping costs. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Manage the flow of packaged products from warehouse to final destination, ensuring stock levels are accurate and orders are fulfilled on time. Oversee inventory control, ensuring that packaging materials are consistently available and aligned with production and shipping schedules. Collaborate with the supply chain team to anticipate fluctuations in demand and adjust logistics planning accordingly. Leadership: Lead this are of logistics, ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards. Develop and implement programs to improve logistics and packaging procedures. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and importance of this department. Vendor & Supplier Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, packaging suppliers, and other external stakeholders. Negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high service levels. Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to contractual terms, delivery schedules, and quality requirements. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all logistics and operations comply with industry regulations and environmental standards (e.g., sustainability, waste management). Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, efficiency, cost savings, and other key metrics to senior management. Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. The Candidate Bachelors degree in logistics, operations or supply chain management Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, packaging, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong background in packaging optimization and logistics coordination within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities. Strong negotiation skills and experience with vendor management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
