Meet Your Potential Employer: Charlene Cooke is recruiting on behalf of a HSE Community care team to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist to join their Adult Physical & Sensory Disability Team in Dundalk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to advance their career within a collaborative and dynamic interdisciplinary team, making a meaningful impact on the lives of adults with disabilities. Role Overview: As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing intervention for adults with physical and sensory disabilities in both clinical and home settings. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support service users in enhancing their communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments, interventions, and treatments tailored to the needs of adults with physical and sensory disabilities. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nursing staff, to deliver integrated, person-centered care. Manage a caseload independently, ensuring timely assessments, reports, and intervention plans. Support adults with communication and swallowing difficulties (FEDS) and implement evidence-based therapy techniques. Deliver training and education to families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and confidentiality. Participate in service development initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided. Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and clinical supervision. Essential Requirements: Registered (or eligible for registration) with CORU as a Speech & Language Therapist. Dysphagia qualification and experience are essential. Full drivers license and own transport to facilitate home visits as required. Experience working within adult disability services or rehabilitation settings. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively and professionally both independently and within a team. Compassionate, client-focused approach to therapy.
