ROLE:
The buyer will play a key role in managing procurement activities to support commercial and R&D projects. You will collaborate with team members to assess needs and build strong vendor relationships in the organization's best interest. Previous experience in sourcing raw materials in pharma is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the procurement process for direct APIs, excipients and raw materials to support commercial and research and development requirements.
2. Collaborate with internal teams, including Regulatory, Quality and R&D, to align sourcing initiatives with business needs.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability at the best value.
4. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
5. Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
6. Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings.
7. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
8. Ensure the highest standard of ethics is always employed in all business dealings with both Suppliers and Customers in accordance with the commercial procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associate degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Pharma experience, GMP or scientific background preferable.
3. Influencing people, negotiation and building strong relationships across geographical boundaries.
4. Effective communication across organizational levels.
5. Organized, adaptable, and able to work independently.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
