Group Financial Controller About the Company: Our client a leading Tech company in growth mode are currently hiring a Group Financial Controller to join their team. Initially being offered on a contract basis the role offers flexible hybrid working. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Financial Controller to join our client a dynamic and rapidly growing tech company, reporting to the CFO. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, a strategic thinker, and possess a proven ability to manage complex financial processes within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Perform detailed analysis of revenue, gross margin, and operating expense (OPEX) variances against prior periods and budgets, providing insightful commentary and recommendations. Develop and manage multiple financial scenarios to support strategic decision-making. Produce comprehensive and insightful reports for review by senior management. Manage the group close process, including intercompany reconciliations. Develop and maintain risk-adjusted forecasts based on actual performance and market trends. Conduct thorough working capital analysis and provide actionable insights. Financial Operations and Compliance: Manage and improve the Accounts Payable (AP) process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Oversee tax compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations. Manage the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Ensure accurate and timely bank reporting and covenant tracking. Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting and treasury management. Approve payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Oversee the accounting integration of acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition. Strategic Support and Stakeholder Management: Respond to queries from external stakeholders, including Macquarie. Prepare and present financial reports for the Board of Directors. Lead and manage ad-hoc projects, including price increase analysis and data center (DC) analysis. Identify and engage key stakeholders to facilitate efficient information gathering and reporting. Escalate critical issues and risks to senior management in a timely manner. Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by providing a "big picture" perspective on financial performance. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop an established finance team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within a fast-paced, environment. Experience in leading a team Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Experience managing complex financial processes, including group close, intercompany transactions, and audit management. Excellent knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
