Our client, a growing organisation with operations in both Ireland and the UK are seeking a Finance Manager to join the team.

This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring strong financial management, compliance, and support for strategic decision-making.

Role Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all financial operations across Ireland and the UK, including reporting, compliance, planning, and leading a team of six finance professionals.

You will partner closely with the CFO and business leaders to provide financial insight, drive performance, and support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Leadership & Oversight

Manage day-to-day finance operations across both jurisdictions.

Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Consolidate financial reporting for the group, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.

Prepare management reporting packs and board-level summaries.

- Compliance & Controls

Ensure full compliance with Irish and UK financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Manage annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors in both countries.

Maintain and enhance financial controls and risk management practices.

- Strategic Support & Business Partnering

Provide financial analysis and support for business cases, investment decisions, and cost reviews.

Partner with senior leadership to support strategic priorities and business planning.

Support reporting for funding or grant applications where required.

- Team Management & Development

Lead and develop a team of six across functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reporting.

Provide mentoring, set clear goals, and foster a high-performance team culture.

Encourage continuous improvement and accountability across the team.

- Process & Systems Improvement

Drive process improvements and automation to support operational efficiency.

Oversee the implementation or optimisation of finance systems across entities.

Identify and deliver on opportunities to improve financial processes and cost effectiveness.

The Person

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).

- 5–7 years' experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

- Strong knowledge of both Irish and UK accounting and tax frameworks.

- Experience managing finance in a cross-border or multi-entity environment preferred.

- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
