About the Role To manage and co-ordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities associated with the on-site Mechanical, Electrical and Process upgrade works at the Wastewater Treatment facility in the North East.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience and suitable qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering and or Environmental Engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities Management, supervision and co-ordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel and M&E installation personnel.
Representing the projectc interests at client meetings and participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings.
Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities.
Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative in HSQE matters. Embrace fundamentals of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Collaboration.
Management of site documentation: signage, audits, method statements, reports, and site sub-contractor documentation.
Procurement and expediting of materials and equipment.
Project cost review and reporting.
Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
Project closeout including hand over of completed safety documentation and interfaces with commissioning.
Prepare progress reports and technical reports for clients and internal teams.
Timeline planning of all installations from contract award to completion and handover, including planning and overseeing commissioning and validation of the plant and mechanical systems.
Management of EPS performance against contractual KPIs.
Manage day-to-day communications and documentation with the ER and site RE staff, in a positive, pro-active, team-oriented manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Coordination and preparation and completion of handover documentation, testing, commissioning and process proving documentation.
Coordination of Environmental & Ecology requirements.
Update works programmes weekly and monthly as required.
Key Competencies and Skills Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office and Project software (advantage).
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry.
Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives within tight timeframes.
Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines.
Qualifications Third level Mechanical or Environmental Engineering degree, or a similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered.
Full EU/Irish driving license.
