Quality Inspector – North County Dublin

- Location: North County Dublin
- Contract Duration: 23 Month Contract

Our Client is a Multinational Manufacturer of Medical Devices and they have instructed us to hire a Material Quality Inspector for a 23 month contract. Call Orla for more info on 01 845 6312.

Shifts are: 7am – 3.30pm and 3.00pm -11.30pm Mon – Fri week on week off

Salary: up to €35k + OT + Benefits

Do you have:

- Experience in quality inspection.
- A third level qualification (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) in Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (QQI level 6 or above).
- Excellent analytical skills, judgement and an understanding of statistical techniques.
- Experience in being part of a team with strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work in technically complex multi-discipline areas.

Duties:

- Provide inspection support in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection supporting manufacturing.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and lot inspection activities.
- Support suppliers in delivering quality products to internal customers, through product & process investigations & evaluations.
- Support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects.

You must be able to:

- Be an integrator who is comfortable with production-related demands.
- Assess supplier capability to meet quality requirements ensuring supplier processes fit internal requirements.
- Check specifications and tolerances when requested from either production or suppliers and complete the associated dispositions.
- Participate in design changes of components and assemblies to enhance product and reduce operator error.

Key Experience / Qualities:

- Mechanical, Mechatronic and Electromechanical measurement systems – Advanced.
- Inspection methodologies such as: PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-610), Fabricated/Machined Metal Mechanical/Visual inspection, Precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, Moulded and Machined plastics inspection and measurement.
- General Inspection to Drawing; Commercial off-the-shelf components, inspect against vendor's item or model number.
- Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g., true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness, etc.)
