Executive Dean Our client, a large complex organisation based in Dublin is seeking to appoint an Executive Dean, Institute of Education. This is 5Year Fixed Term Contract. Lead the Future of Education Are you a visionary leader ready to make a significant impact? We're seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Institute of Education, driving strategic growth and academic excellence. About the Role: Reporting to the Deputy President, the Executive Dean will develop and deliver an ambitious vision for the Institute of Education for the next five years, which will in turn influence the future direction of education both in Ireland and across Europe. The postholder will provide strategic and operational leadership in all areas of activity across the Institute including teaching and learning, research, operations, policy engagement and institutional collaborations You'll be instrumental in: Strategic Vision & Leadership: Empowering Heads of Schools, crafting an ambitious new vision for the Institute, and representing us at senior leadership forums. Teaching & Learning Innovation: Championing cutting-edge teacher education, developing new programs, and ensuring the highest standards in curriculum and delivery. Research & Policy Influence: Enhancing research output, fostering new research centres, and leading our contribution to evidence-based education policy. Global Engagement: Building international partnerships, increasing student and staff mobility, and elevating our global profile. Operational & Financial Stewardship: Ensuring the Institute's financial sustainability through effective resource management, budgeting, and income diversification. People & Culture: Cultivating a collegial, inclusive, and high-performing environment, promoting diversity, and fostering talent development. Key Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership and develop long-term strategies Align academic priorities with the universitys strategic plan and mission. Foster innovation and excellence in teaching, learning, research, and engagement. Promote and sustain a culture of academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration. Support faculty in achieving research goals, securing external funding, and publishing in high-impact forums. Lead the development and continuous improvement of academic programs and curricula. Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and operational planning within the Faculty. Ensure compliance with university policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Foster strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the Facultys profile and impact. Foster a collegial, inclusive, and high-performing work and study environment for staff and students within the faculty Key requirements: A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant academic discipline. A distinguished record of academic leadership, teaching, and research. Deepknowledgeofthe Irishand international education sectors and the policy environment Proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership. Demonstrated success in fostering research, innovation, and external engagement. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. Experience working across multidisciplinary academic environments.
