Senior Finance Manager
My client is a growing business seeking a hands-on Finance Manager. This is a standalone position, 5 days on site for the initial 6-12 months. I am seeking a very technically strong accountant with strong commercial acumen to work closely with the General Manager and the leadership team.
My client is looking for someone who enjoys having full financial responsibility in a growing business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and accounting practices
2. Provide accurate and up-to-date financial information
3. Manage relationships with shareholders, lending institutions, and the financial community
4. Evaluate and implement effective Financial Systems and Internal Controls
5. Lead and manage a performance culture and deliverables in the finance function
6. Be aware of the financial risks of the organisation to ensure sustainability
7. Contribute to the company’s business planning and monitor through ongoing reporting, analysis, and discussion of relevant information
8. Ensure that the company operates within the law and complies fully with corporate and employment legislation
9. Manage all regulatory compliance
10. Represent the company externally as required
11. Develop a customer-oriented culture, ensuring that the Finance team supports and prioritises the needs of the front-line business
12. Ensure the team has the tools, applications, infrastructure, and support to do their work effectively
13. Annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting across all profit & cost centres including cash flows
14. Corporate reporting
15. Annual preparation of financial statements (including consolidation) for audit
16. CAPEX projects – Approval, monitoring & controlling
17. Taxation (Corporation, VAT, PAYE & others)
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience of reporting at a senior finance level (i.e., senior accounting or existing FC)
2. Strong knowledge of and experience in contracting, negotiating, and change management
3. Demonstrated abilities in capital, inventory, and cash control, systems and process development, and forecasting
4. Experience working with multi-national financial obligations
5. Good interpersonal skills
