Electrical Design Engineer Pharmaceutical Capital Projects Dublin based / Onsite With a reputation for delivering engineering excellence, innovative processes, sustainability, this Capital Projects Managed Services team specialises in delivering bespoke solutions across the pharmaceutical sector. As part of our site based Electrical Project division, you will play a pivotal role in the Design of electrical building services and infrastructure within a leading Pharmaceutical facility. Key Areas Of Responsibility Engineering Design on Projects as part of an integrated capital projects team. Design and specification of Electrical Engineering Solutions to current regulations and design standards. Working directly with clients and project engineers to lead technical solutions. Carrying out electrical building services design, working solo on smaller projects, or as part of the wider team, under a Project Manager, on larger more complex projects. Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement layouts for power distribution, lighting, security, voice and data and life safety systems. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation such as design specifications and design risk assessments. Prepare electrical calculations utilizing electrical design software to relevant standards. Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and pharmaceutical industry regulations. Carry out site surveys/inspections to ensure electrical installations comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and pharmaceutical industry regulations and design intent. Lead Pre-Construction Engineering activities and the production of information including, design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, sub-contracts, etc. Provide technical support to construction teams on projects during installation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, automation specialists, and project managers to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into plant operations. Experience Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services & Design Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering 5+ years relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment Knowledge & experience of current industry Electrical Design standards Experience in AutoCAD, Revit and relevant electrical design software packages Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management.
