ATG are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director – Rail to lead and drive rail infrastructure projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a key role in shaping Ireland’s rail network by delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality rail solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major rail projects in Ireland, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for rail infrastructure, signalling, electrification, and rolling stock projects.
- Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including government bodies, transport authorities, and private sector clients.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and implement project strategies that align with sustainability and carbon reduction goals in rail transport.
- Lead business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities, preparing bids, and securing contracts.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on time and within financial constraints.
- Ensure compliance with Irish and European rail regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous professional development.

Key Requirements:

- A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Rail Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the rail industry, with a strong track record in project leadership and delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish rail infrastructure, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working on major rail projects, including heavy rail, light rail, metro, and high-speed rail.
- Strong business development skills, with experience in client engagement and bid management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in rail engineering software and project management tools.
