Ideally you are an expert in PCI Express and ARM based SOC architectures around PCI Express that enables you to drive product definition and roadmaps.

You are a verification leader with previous digital controller development background and experience in managing large R&D digital teams.

You can leverage your expertise in leading innovative world-class IP solutions in driving quality leading across a multi-site team to communicate the product verification strategy.

You have a deep understanding of digital design verification principles that enables you to lead complex verification projects. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively influence and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Ultimately responsible for PCIe/CXL verification strategy and functional quality.
- Leading and managing an organization of large teams of R&D verification engineers focused on verifying digital IP controllers, namely PCIe/CXL, to the product line’s plan-of-record.
- Ensure that the verification team capacity and team structure are set up to meet market demand. With fixed resources, help define the prioritization of asks with stakeholders and align an execution plan to achieve the plan of record.
- Adapting to methodologies that improve the quality of the controllers and productivity of the team.
- Manage project scope, project schedule, project resource costs, and project risk. Review project convergence metrics with the team, identifying risks early and mitigating against such risks. Align with management on project resource needs and trade-offs.
- Lead verification R&D activities as required around customer pre-sales engagements and post-sales support and escalation management as pertaining to quality.

- Ensuring that the underlying team structure, competency, and productivity around verification activity can deliver on-time and with quality to the market requirements.
- Contributing to Synopsys' leadership in the semiconductor industry through and more specifically PCI Express controllers.
- Delivering efficiency & productivity gains in digital design and verification of IP products.
- Minimize both pre and post-sales customer escalations past your role.
- Drive the quality of the Synopsys PCI Express controller product line to ensure a smooth customer experience and bolster the reputation of Synopsys as the number #1 IP provider.

What You’ll Need:

- A verification expert in UVM methodologies and all related methodologies that impact quality.
- Experience in creating structures with clean lines of responsibility and accountability down the management chain.
- Ideally, deep knowledge of PCIe technologies and related protocols.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams focused on IP product development.
- Ability to agilely learn from team mistakes and either define new processes or enforce existing processes as preventative actions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, risk assessment/mitigation, and time management skills. Ability to abstract up and communicate meaningful conclusions and define next steps.
- Embodying a collaborative, supportive, and inspirational leadership style to deliver results that exceed expectations.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will be leading a dynamic and innovative R&D verification team focused on developing digital PCI Express controllers within the Intellectual Property Group within Synopsys. This team collaborates closely with the VIP, PHY, Sub-System service, emulation, methodology, support, and customer success teams to deploy the PCIe controller to the market space as an overall one Synopsys solution as high-quality differentiated products. The organization size will be of the order of 150 engineers.
