Role: Forklift/Yard Operative Salary: €30,500-€32,500 Duration: Permanent Location: South Dublin Forklift/Yard Operative Leading multinational company based in Dublin South is currently seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Yard Operative to join their dynamic team. This full-time role offers Monday to Friday working hours, with occasional Saturday shifts depending on operational needs. To be considered for the role you must hold a full, clean EU Category B driving licence and a valid counterbalance forklift. As part of the waste disposal team, you will play a key role in supporting daily yard and warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include operating a counterbalance forklift to load processed materials for dispatch, always ensuring safe and efficient handling. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised yard environment. In addition to your on-site duties, you will operate the company van to conduct scheduled deliveries and collections across the Dublin area, engaging professionally with customers and representing the company with integrity. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and packaging of goods for secure transportation, ensuring all handling procedures meet compliance standards. Address equipment malfunctions or operational issues swiftly, escalating concerns to maintenance or management to reduce downtime. Operate and maintain baling, shredding, and other warehouse machinery to ensure efficient processing, storage, and daily dispatch of materials. Manage the unloading of inbound trucks each day to support seamless logistics and transport planning for the following shift. Safely operate counterbalance forklift trucks and contribute to a wide range of warehouse and yard activities as required. Requirements: Possess a full, clean Category B driving licence mandatory. Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety standards. Strong mechanical skills and a track record of resolving technical issues efficiently. Valid counterbalance forklift certificate. Manual handling certificate preferred. Flexibility to work across rotating shifts and undertake overtime when necessary. Excellent time management and organisational skills to support daily operations. Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport setting will be considered a strong asset.
