ProSource are recruiting a General Foreman on behalf of their client who are a leading Main Building Contractor in Cork. They now require a General Foreman for a landmark project in Cork. Job Summary: Skilled General Foreman to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in demonstrated leadership abilities and project management skills. The General Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring they are organised, motivated, and productive. Manage all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Inspect work to ensure compliance with building codes, project plans, and quality standards. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations and best practices. Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure project goals are met. Identify and resolve construction-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials. Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a construction environment. Excellent carpentry skills, including proficiency in framing, trim work, and other carpentry tasks. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
