Enhanced/Staff Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse/Enhanced Nurse to join our team at Deerpark Services in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
The successful candidate will work with adults with varying support needs, providing community-based day, respite, and residential services that focus on personal outcome measures.
Our approach is centered around forming meaningful relationships and partnerships with each individual and their family, empowering them to become valued citizens in their local community.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with varying support needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the individual, their family, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain expertise and enhance practice.
- A current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais) or RNID/RGN qualification.
- A full clean manual driving license and use of a car.
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
- Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will work 75 hours per fortnight based on a 7-day duty roster, including days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers, and night duty. Annual leave entitlements include 24 days per annum, with additional service-related leave after 5 and 10 years' service.
RemunerationThe salary scale for this position is as follows: Staff Nurse - €36,919 x 12 increments - €53,340 per annum; Enhanced Nurse - €43,872 x 7 increments - €55,093 per annum. Long Service Increment payments apply after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.
