The client –
Our client, a reputable, thriving, independent medium sized firm of accountants based in Limerick currently require an Audit Manager to join the team on a full‑time basis. Their client base varies from SME enterprises to large groups which will offer high quality, interesting work. The firm is very well run and will offer a friendly atmosphere along with strong work/life balance.
What does work/life balance look like for this firm?
- Flexibility – remote working options available (some staff have already been working remotely pre‑pandemic)
- Working hours are 37.5 per week – the firm does not have an overtime culture
- Client portfolio can be adjusted to suit candidates who see working hours of 30 hours per week
- The firm has excellent high profile clients. Compliance filing dates are met well in advance of deadlines due to quality of clients and staff
- No travel

Role responsibilities –
Reporting to the firm’s Audit Partner, the successful candidate will be tasked with – managing a team of trainee, part qualified and qualified accountants, ensuring work is correct and on time, maintaining and developing strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.

About you –
- You will be a Qualified Accountant
- Have experience managing a small team
- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a practice environment
- Previous/ solid understanding of the audit process
- Strong communication skills
