Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our mechanical engineering client. The role may be based in the Cork or Limerick Office. In this job you will be in charge of managing all costs to bring an optimal commercial outcome for the company related to process mechanical construction and maintenance projects from initiation through to final take over by our customers. THE ROLE: To complete the initial review of tenders, rates, preliminaries, terms and conditions prior to commencement of a contract. Raise sales invoices against works completed, including substantiation of costs as required. Undertake and manage interim commercial meetings with the client, sub-contractors and the internal team. Administration of customer and sub-contractor purchase orders and invoices. Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and final accounts. Work closely with project managers, construction managers and site engineers to track progress claims by sub-contractors and certify payments, and negotiate final accounts. Review and control of all project cost centres REQUIREMENTS: Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, construction management or equivalent. Proficient in the suite of Microsoft applications, primarily Word and Excel. Min 5-10 years relevant work placement experience as a Quantity Surveyor is required, preferably in the process mechanical sector.
