ProSource are seeking a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of their client who are an award winning Main Building Contractor Cork. Your main duties will include, but not be limited to; Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and practices in line with regulatory requirements and company standards. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and best practices. Support the project team in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of EHS policies, suggesting improvements where necessary. Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions. Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to site personnel, ensuring a high level of awareness and competency. Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training records, inspection reports, and incident logs. Promote a positive EHS culture across the project, encouraging proactive safety behavior. Keep abreast of new legislation, best practices, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement in EHS standards. To be successful in your application you will possess the following; A degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the construction industry in Ireland Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and an ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.
