Your Role

You will lead analysis and implementation of various Data Warehousing and BI projects, implementing best practices from architectural design through guiding our clients on best practices around data ingestion, data management, and visualisation. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in several Data Warehouse technologies as well as experience using the latest Cloud technologies. We are looking for a self-starter who loves to continually evaluate new technologies, innovate, educate, and collaborate to deliver critical services that help our clients succeed.

The role will be Dublin-based and will involve a mix of remote working, offsite work at our offices in Dun Laoghaire, and onsite work at customer sites in Dublin. We are seeking a passionate, motivated self-starter with previous experience working on technical data projects and a determination to deliver high-quality solutions that exceed our clients' needs. You will take full responsibility for the delivery of assigned tasks on schedule and within agreed budgets. You will liaise closely with the business and use your commercial acumen to lead development teams to deliver innovative and creative solutions. The successful candidate should have a full understanding of the data warehouse lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

- Senior Developer who can deliver on all stages of Data and AI projects, from design and development through to business implementation and maintenance.
- Lead the development team, providing technical guidance and direction throughout the data lifecycle of a project.
- Play a key role in the definition and implementation of best practices in relation to data design and implementation, making recommendations on how to improve development processes and standards.
- Place a strong focus on building reproducible code and frameworks, with a constant emphasis on quality, excellence, and efficiency across the development team.
- Work with customers to help them leverage data to gain deeper insights and drive business improvements.
- Ensure rigorous adherence by the development team to Clear Strategy design and development standards, policies, and processes.
- Ensure timely delivery of Data and AI projects on schedule and within agreed budgets.
- Share technical knowledge and experience to help develop and mentor more junior or less experienced data consultants, leading with high performance to help them reach their full potential.
- Input into product innovation and help identify new ways that organisations can benefit from their data, e.g., through Advanced Analytics or AI/ML initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Past Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in the analysis, planning, designing, testing, deploying, and administration of complex Cloud BI and Analytics environments.
- Strong Data Warehouse Architecture and Data Modelling experience – cloud and on-premise – including OLAP, Star/Snowflake Schemas, Dimensional Data Modelling, Fact & Dimension tables, Physical and Logical Data Modelling.
- Experienced Data Warehouse ETL developer who can design and develop solutions and systems from business requirements analysis through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Extensive practical experience in several Data Warehouse technologies as well as experience using the latest Cloud technologies.
- Experience developing data conversion and testing strategies.

Personal Attributes

- 5+ years' experience in Data Warehousing, at least 2 years of which are in Cloud Modern Data Platforms.
- Experience with Cloud database platforms on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Prior consulting experience at a consulting or professional services firm is beneficial.
- Strong work ethic.
