Are you a qualified Electrician looking for a meaningful and secure career? The Irish Prison Service, in partnership with Cpl, is recruiting Recruit Prison Officers (Trades) to join their team. This is a unique dual-role where you'll apply your electrical expertise while contributing to the safety, rehabilitation, and care of those in custody.

What You'll Do:

- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and project work
- Conduct statutory electrical checks and compile reports
- Supervise and support prisoners in a secure environment
- Assist with prison operations including escorts, searches, and monitoring
- Play an active role in rehabilitation and community initiatives

What You Need:

- A National Craft Certificate (or equivalent) in the Electrical Trade
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Be 18+ years old by 11th July 2025
- Good character, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
