We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a leading multinational pharmaceutical organisation based in Dublin 18, South Dublin. This is an 6-month contract role with a strong potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

As a Senior Accountant, you will join the RTR (Record to Report) Accounting Team, reporting to the RTR Manager and working alongside a team of six experienced accountants. You'll be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment, supporting multiple entities and contributing to a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring adherence to US GAAP.

- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

- Execute SOX control activities in line with the company's compliance framework.

- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide financial insight and support as required.

- Assist with the successful delivery of internal and external audits.

- Oversee standard cost releases in SAP and evaluate the financial impact of changes to product flows.

Key Requirements:

- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).

- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within a multinational environment.

- Available to start within 2-4 weeks.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

- Strong IT proficiency, ideally with experience in SAP and advanced Excel skills (or similar systems).
