The Wine Centre are currently recruiting for an experienced retail Manager to lead the team in our John St store. The Wine Centre is a specialist off licence in the heart of Kilkenny City. We first opened our doors in 1965 and have been renowned for our dedication to customer service and excellence in product selection ever since. We provide personalised, specialist advice and expertise to customers, whatever the budget.One of the key differences between The Wine Centre and other off licences and supermarkets, is the depth of knowledge of our staff and the exclusive range of wines, beers, spirits and whiskeys we stock. The ideal candidate will have, alongside retail management experience, a knowledge about and passion for the drinks industry, be preferably WSET qualified and eager to make their mark in our customer service focused outlet. Some of the tasks you will be responsible for are; Assuming responsibility for the day to day running of the store including merchandising, stock management, cash reconciliations, team direction and training etc. Liaising with the business management team on strategic direction for the Wine Center Developing developing and managing a calendar of in store and e-Commerce events to promote and drive product sales Providing excellent customer service and ensuring the team are equipped with the skills and knowledge to do likewise Advising customers on beverage selection, making informed suggestions based on customer needs Assisting with product selection in our wine, spirits and craft beer selections In return we offer; A competitive salary and bonus structure Contributory Pension Scheme Paid Maternity/Paternity leave (after qualifying period) Access to HSF cash health plan Cycle to Work Generous discounts in our sister companies Meubles and Petmania INDHP Skills: WSET Customer Service Retail
