Overview Accounting Technician role at Robert Walters. Chartered accountancy firm with over 30 years of experience providing professional services to a diverse client base, including sole traders, SMEs, and larger businesses across multiple sectors. North West Dublin. Full-time, hybrid options available (work from home Mondays and Fridays).
Salary: €40,000–€45,000 per annum + bonus.
The Role We are seeking a skilled Accounting Technician to support the delivery of client services within a busy Accounts Department. This is a permanent, full-time position offering flexibility, hybrid options, and excellent exposure to a wide variety of client industries.
Key Responsibilities Prepare working papers and financial statements in line with standards.
Prepare management accounts for clients (quarterly/6 monthly).
Complete and file VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns.
Prepare draft year-end files.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Manage and resolve client queries effectively.
Work independently or as part of a team to drive projects forward.
Support other ad hoc tasks as required.
Key Skills 3+ years’ experience in a busy accountancy practice.
Qualified Accounting Technician or IPASS certification.
Strong technical knowledge of VAT, RCT, and compliance processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel – intermediate+), Sage Accounts, and Accounts Production software (CCH or similar).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
