Quality, Safety and Compliance Lead

Cpl Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of our new Adult ID sector client for a Quality, Safety & Compliance Lead. This is a key leadership role within a growing rights‑based organisation delivering person‑centred residential services.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s Quality, Safety, Governance and Regulatory Compliance framework. A significant initial responsibility will include supporting the organisation’s first HIQA registration for new residential services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with HIQA, HSA and all relevant legislation.
- Lead initial HIQA registration and ongoing regulatory engagement.
- Implement a service‑wide quality and safety framework.
- Oversee incidents, audits, investigations and risk management.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and operational guidance.
- Support residential managers with on‑site quality and compliance matters.
- Deliver training on quality, safeguarding, incident management and standards.
- Establish KPIs, analyse data and produce quality and safety reports.
- Promote continuous improvement and a culture of learning.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Quality, Compliance or Risk roles within regulated health or social care.
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience guiding multi‑disciplinary teams and driving change.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant third‑level qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Health & Social Care, Quality, OHS or related fields.
- Experience in audits, QI projects or staff training is desirable.
