A Childcare Assistant is required for our After School Service based in Caherline, Co. Limerick. The selected candidate MUST have direct Childcare experience. Childcare Assistants are responsible for the supervision and care of children accessing the service. This job can be 16 - 20 hours per week depending on the right candidate and may suit somebody in college OR someone in receipt of a social welfare payment that will allow them only to work a specified number of hours per week. The Childcare Assistant supports the After School Service Manager in all aspects of running the service, including planning each days educational and recreational activities, planning and preparing nutritionus meals, liaising with parents, administration work etc. Person Specification Essential:Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent,experience working in a Childcare Facility previously; have own transport OR be based in Caherline, Co. Limerick and have Fluent English. Two references from previous childcare positions to be made available upon request. Desirable: First Aid Certificate, HACCP and IT Skills.
