On the AWS platform services such as Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Container Services to name just a few, provide opportunities to design and build cloud-ready applications.

Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
We are looking for hands-on architects/developers who are passionate about:
1. Helping customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services
2. Architecting and developing customer applications to be cloud optimized
3. Working as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams.
4. Providing deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns and programming
5. Leading customer projects in refactoring and re-platforming applications and implementing AWS best practices
6. Working as both an infrastructure and application development specialist
7. Agile software development and DevOps
8. Implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment
Our Consultants work with enterprise customers locally, regionally and potentially domestically. As such, Consultants must have the ability to travel to client locations to sell and deliver professional services as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 10+ or more years of IT implementation experience
- Experience working with customers face to face, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
- Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
- Hands-on technical application architect with 5+ years of application programming experience
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment. Application Modernization experience
- Experience with designing and building applications using AWS services such as EC2, RDS, EKS
- Designing and building applications using Container and serverless technologies
- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins) and hands-on familiarity with CloudFormation.
- Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)
- Scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.) and practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems
