Overview Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Anatomy, Specific purpose Contract circa 4 years, 1FTE, Contract Type B at the University of Galway. The successful candidate will contribute to our teaching mission in Anatomy.
We are seeking a candidate who can teach Anatomy (Gross Anatomy, Histology and/or Human Embryology). Research interests should ideally align to existing research interests within the Discipline.
Responsibilities Teach Anatomy (Gross Anatomy, Histology and/or Human Embryology) at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels as appropriate.
Contribute to the teaching mission of the Anatomy discipline and coordinate or participate in related courses as required.
Develop and maintain an active research profile aligned with the Discipline’s interests.
Demonstrate the ability to motivate students and colleagues and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications PhD in Anatomy or a related discipline.
Relevant teaching and research experience in Anatomy.
Experience teaching Anatomy at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
Details Salary: €64,260 to €102,513 p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011). This appointment will be made on the Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy.
