Our client, one of Ireland's fastest-growing professional services firms, is seeking a talented and ambitious VAT Manager to join their expanding VAT tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is driven and keen to progress in their career. You will have the chance to work with directors and partners, providing VAT support on tax advisory to Irish and international clients, and advising on all relevant VAT issues.

To be considered for this role, you will need a relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification, and at least five years of experience working within VAT in a professional tax, legal, or accountancy environment. In return, you will receive excellent prospects for progression and ongoing career development.

Main responsibilities —

- Manage a team providing tax compliance and advisory services;
- Work with partners and directors to develop and grow the firm's indirect tax service offering;
- Advise on tax structuring and advisory projects;
- Deal with client's international network on queries arising to the Irish firm;
- Delegate work to and manage junior team members;
- Manage a wide portfolio of clients;
- Manage budgeting and ensure targets are met.

About you —

- Minimum 5 years' experience required as a Chartered Tax Advisor; Big 4/Top 10 firm or legal practice preferred;
- Extensive experience in advising on all aspects of VAT;
- A thorough knowledge of VAT and relevant legislation;
- Confidence in dealing with people (including clients), excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills.
