Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Data Centre)

We are seeking an experienced Contract Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work within our Data Centre team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the witnessing of commissioning and testing of electrical systems for data centre projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering design
- Develop and execute commissioning plans for electrical systems
- Witness testing and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth commissioning process
- Provide technical support and expertise during the commissioning phase
- Document commissioning activities and prepare reports for project stakeholders
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to electrical commissioning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commissioning electrical systems, within data centre projects
- Proficient knowledge of UK Engineering Design standards, MEP regulations, and electrical codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Certification as a Commissioning Engineer is a plus
Day-to-day
- Reviewing and interpreting engineering design documents
- Performing visual inspections and functional testing of electrical equipment
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address commissioning issues
- Recording test results and preparing detailed commissioning reports
- Participating in meetings and discussions to support project progress and requirements
